COLLAGEN STIMULATORS
Collagen stimulators are substances that activate the formation of the body’s own connective tissue, which restructures and tightens the skin. On one hand, they restore lost facial volume to provide a more youthful appearance, while on the other, they improve the density, elasticity, and quality of the skin’s surface layer.
The primary collagen stimulators are calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) and poly-L-lactic acid in the form of microspheres suspended in a gel. These substances are natural to the body, ensuring a lack of allergic reactions and full biocompatibility upon application. During the first months after the treatment, the gel is resorbed, and the microspheres activate the production of natural collagen. This newly formed collagen-elastin network is the reason for the long-lasting effect following the administration of collagen stimulators.

Downtime
Redness, swelling, mild pain, or bruising may be observed, which typically subside within a few hours to 3 days.
Post-treatment instructions
Do not touch the treated area and do not apply makeup for up to 12 hours. For 2-3 days, it is advisable to avoid intense sunlight (sunbathing, solarium), heat-based Device-Based Treatments (sauna, steam bath, steam), intensive workouts, and alcohol (if redness occurs).

Types of collagen stimulators we use
Juvéderm HArmonyCa (Allergan) – a combination of hyaluronic acid (HA) and calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA). While HA provides volume and hydration, CaHA stimulates the formation of new collagen to sustain the lifting and skin-tightening effect after the hyaluronic acid has been resorbed.
Sculptra (Galderma) – Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a synthetic form of lactic acid that the body produces naturally after physical exertion. It is used in medicine in the form of implants and resorbable sutures. Sculptra is a powerful collagen stimulator that builds a network of collagen fibers as it degrades, restores lost volume, tightens sagging skin, and positively impacts pigmentation on the face and body.
Radiesse (Merz) – a collagen stimulator containing calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres placed in a special sterile gel. It activates the process of forming new collagen, leading to volume restoration, tightening, contouring, and lifting of the treated areas without over-volumization.
Juvelook – a next-generation hybrid filler that combines hyaluronic acid with collagen stimulation from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It is approved for use in specific areas around the eyes, mouth, forehead, and neck.
