Treatment of excessive sweating

Hyperhidrosis is a dermatological disorder characterized by excessive sweating in specific areas, regardless of the ambient temperature. It most commonly affects the forehead, upper lip, armpits, groin, palms, and soles. It causes significant emotional, physical, and social discomfort, disrupting the patient’s quality of life.

In addition to traditional therapy, treatment with botulinum toxin is applied, which achieves long-term and reversible suppression of the sweat glands’ activity for a period of 3 to 6 months.
